Greetings!

Some great articles this month as we were quite inspired by the recently finished Australian Biggest Loser TV series. What a fascintaing show, full of hard work and determination, and the results achieved by all contestants was nothing short of remarkable.

In one article we detail the main training principles that helped the Biggest Loser's achieve such great results. One principle is training volume, which also applies to the profile on Chris McCormack - Australia's most successful Ironman. Whether you are an Ironman or not, getting more activity into your day is a critical factor in weight loss. On a simple level: the more you move, the more you lose!

lisa studachYou've probably seen a new face around the gym as Lisa Studach has joined the team. Lisa has an excellent training background with experience as a runner and triathlete, and can be regularly seen hitting the pavement along Manly Beach or taking our Group Fitness session on Thursday nights. Lisa is working part time while she finishes her Masters degree in languages at Sydney University.

Training wise it's into the running season now so check out our list of fitness events from 5km fun runs, 10km races, the 14km City to Surf, and even some half marathons coming up over the next six months. There's also the Manly Soft Sand Classic on 11th June.

Well done to Sally on a great Bondi Barefoot time!

Yours in health and fitness,
