NOVEMber Newsletter
Greetings!
We hope you all had a great Melbourne Cup (a big horse race for those outside Australia or living in a small box) and cleaned up the office sweep. Whether you are into horse racing or not, the first Tuesday of November is always a good reason for some time off work!
And it also seems to herald in what we call the "hectic season" - that crazy time of year before Christmas where exercise often takes a back foot to work parties, functions, long lunches and (of course) present shopping. We recommend keeping focused on your training, avoiding too many late nights, taking it easy on the Christmas cheer, and not to partake in table-top dancing in front of the HR Manager at the staff party!
You may have read about the new Manly Council personal trainer regulations that began on 1st October 2005. While Complete Fitness has mixed views on the new regulations we believe in doing the right thing and have registered with the Council....but we are one of only two personal training businesses to do so! We agree with Council that trainers should: pay a fee for operating business in a public space; keep group numbers small; minimise noise and disruption to other people; and be fully qualified and insured. However, we have yet to see any action from Council on those personal trainers not complying, and we will watch events unfold with great interest! You can view the new regulations here and your feedback or comments are welcome.
Like to get started in triathlons? Or just keen for a good hit out training session on a Saturday? We are starting our free group triathlon trainings again, and they are open to all clients and friends. You dont need to be super fit or have done any triathlons before, just grab your goggles, bike and run shoes and meet us at Manly Boy Charlton Pool on Saturday 12th and 26th November, and 10th December at 7.30am. The swim is a timed 15mins, cycle 6km or 9km, and run 2km or 3km. No coaching is intended, just a fitness training, and the only cost is entry to Manly Pool of $4.50. For more info please contact us.
Yours in health and fitness,
Complete Personal Fitness Training
